The CO2 goal for Green Minerals is about mineralisation and thereby storing CO2 permanently in an economically attractive way.
By combining:
- safely sequestering CO2 in a permanent form (mineral "carbonate")
- using these minerals in a beneficial way (to economically replace the conventional "fossil" minerals)
The main markets are: paper (to replace conventional lime), polymers (to replace talc) and concrete (to replace cement) as a drop in replacement of the currently used materials.
Through this combination both the sustainable goals (CO2 storage) and the economic goals (making a business case) can be reached.
We choose to partner with the CCU-alliance to obtain a wider network for this novel industry.
